This is one statement you wouldn't expect your 6 year old to say about the family dog. But this is exactly what Emma just told me about 5 minutes ago. Odd statement since we don't live anywhere near water. "What's a fish doing outside?" I think to myself. I run outside where Emma has been walking Jacoby. Only to find him eating a baby bird. Oh dear Lord what do I do? I don't want to traumatize Emma more that she probably already is with having witnessed this event. So I did what every normal freaking out momma would do, call her neighbor who is an ER vet. Well, needless to say he doesn't have to much experience with baby birds. He suggested that I call animal control, or flush it. You want me to do what? Flush it. You have got to be kidding me. I am not equipped to deal with this today. I offered my neighbor $10 to deal with it for me, but I think he thought I was kidding. I wasn't. So, Emma and I went out gathered the baby bird, said a little prayer and sent him down the toilet. Please forgive me Lord. I didn't know what to do with it. It wasn't going to live much longer. And yes, Jacoby had eaten another little bird. Disgusting I know. I am going to give him a bath and attempt to brush his teeth. Gross. All I can say is that I don't think I will let him give me a kiss anytime in the near future. Eww... Not sure if you will find this picture fascinating or just plain wrong, but here is a picture of the baby bird.
**I removed the picture in order not to gross anyone else out**Sorry guys!**
